TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system which has been continually in use for 3,000 years which recognizes the inseparable relationship of body, mind and Spirit and Nature. It prevents, diagnoses and treats ill-nesses using acupuncture, manual therpaies such as tuina, gua sha and cupping; movment therapy – tai chi or qi gong; food as medicine, botanical therapy and moxibustion (burning an herb). All these modalities remind and activate our bodies’ own natural self healing abilities.
The ancient practitioners of this Medicine were able to activate their inner vision. They saw the body’s functions and connections to the five major elements of the planet—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
